I've not tried it but always interested in frameworks. On another note, I highly recommend signing up for the WebAppers feed. They usually have 1 post per day that features scripts, frameworks, or useful webapps.

I've used Symfony on several projects before, I've gone from loving it to hating it to loving it again. I've had some pain with having to "freeze" projects in order to use them on hosting accounts that didn't allow CLI access. As long as you're OK with running things command line, it's a thumbs up.
