Hello everyone,

My name is Greg Ferrell. I have lived in Louisville since the end of 2003, and have been working in web development and graphic design since 2005.

My main focus and day job are in web development. I currently work as a Department of Defense contractor in Radcliff, KY and do a little freelance in Louisville on nights and weekends.

I have been married to my lovely wife for almost 3 years and we just purchased our first house which we will close on next month.

I discovered this website and some of you via twitter and was very happy to see more web devs in the Louisville area. http://twitter.com/gregferrell

My current development interests are: AdobeAIR apps, Flash, Flex, PHP, JavaScript, iPhone Apps, and Widgets.

I look forward to coming to the next meeting if I can.

Hi everybody! I just came across this site today and think it's a fantastic idea!

I am an artist and print designer at heart, but recently have taken a more serious interest in Web Design. Everything I know about the Web has been pretty much self-taught (with the exception of @aboveaveragejoe's help, thanks Joe!). I've worked in advertising here in town for about 5 years now. Currently I'm an Art Director at Finelight.

In my free time I try to stay involved in the local art scene as much as possible. I'm part of a collaboration that curates and produces local underground art exhibits in alternative spaces, helping to expose Louisville's hidden talent. Lately, I've been running a lot, just bought a motorcycle and debating on whether it's time to finally get a dog.

I actually just completed my first website! Yes, I know, it's hard to believe...but please check it out if you have the time. I'd love to hear what you guys think.

robbydavis.com

I look forward to meeting all of you and learning along the way. I'm excited to see what Refresh Louisville can do!

Robby

Greetings! I'm Jason Clark, VP and Creative Director of VIA Studio. I've been watching Deanna and the gang build this for awhile and applaud them for taking the initiative. I've been involved in Design and Media since my high school Graphic Arts classes in 1989. Been working in the field ever since.

I've accepted role as Vice President of the Louisville Graphic Design Association this year. Maybe there's something I can do to help integrate or at least develop some synergies between the organizations. I'd love to see more web design represented in the speakers they bring to town, and we're all waiting anxiously to see the new site design. I'm also an admin on the createlouisville.com site and have posted a link to Refresh Louisville site from there.

Unfortunately there's an LGDA board meeting tonight, so I can't make the meetup at BBC. I'd much rather be having a beer. If there's anything I can bring to the table for tonight's meeting, let me know.

I'm obviously more excited about this since I used an exclamation point & nobody else did. :P

Professionally, I'm a designer and front end developer for VIA Studio. I love what I do & I've found the community in our field to be amazing. I'm really eager to meet some more like-minded folks from the area! I used to work at Mission Data with the boys until I was lured into the corporate world with promises of more money & more perks...that lasted 6 months...then I came to VIA where I've been very poor...but happy. Live & learn.

Personally, I'm not married (anymore). I have an awesome little girl with loads of sweet curls on her head, 10 tons of spunk & 12 tons of attitude. I'm also a rock climber, yogi, organic gardener, longboarder (I'm very bad at this), runner, biker and just an all around hippie. I'm into hard physical work & being covered in dirt when I'm not in front of a computer.

It's very nice to meet everyone!
